This is actually my favourite of all of the models I have seen Eric paint so far.
I have this actual piece on display in my shop because when you see it in real life, you see that Eric has captured a mood of total depression and boredom. The sentry has an expression which says "It's near the end of the war, we've already lost so what on earth am I doing standing here freezing to the bone, guarding this godforsaken wall" although obviously he would be saying it in German.
Of course, I have the benefit of seeing the model close up, which shows aspects which have unfortunately been lost in the photograph.
