Thanks Tinweasel for your comment. The colour scheme has been painted like that on purpose. The detail of sculpt on his face is really nice and I want his expression to stand out. Also im tired of seeing minatures that look like they just stepped out of a Warner Bros cartoon! I have started to use a much more earthy palate on all my models.
Nice, clean painting with good skin color on the exposed flesh areas, and nice coloring of the bone chest eagle. I think the highlights on most of the colors are a little too subdued, and I think areas like the waist sash, epaulettes, and coat folds could've done with blended lighter highlight shades, as was done with the face.
