I think you're on the right track with this guy but there are a few points you could improve on. First, his eyes are way too starey. I know he's supposed to be angry but he still looks bug-eyed. A thin "eyelid" painted over the top in dark flesh tone would reduce that. Also, your grey need some more contrast, as it is the highlights are barely different from the shadows. The brown doesn't appear to be highlighted at all. The metallic paint on the sword looks very grainy, I'm not sure if it's your paint or just the photo, but you might want to try and avoid that. Thinning metallic paint is generally not such a good idea but if it's dried out a bit and become "globby" you an add a little water to smooth it out. And you probably should straighten the sword blade, as it is noticeably bent from the hilt (it shouldn't damage the paint job if you're gentle).
