My first attempt on NMM together with light source, the NMM doesnt look too good to me,hoping I can do better on the light source. Please do comment. Thanks
7.5; I'm not sure I see the Light sourcing. Unless you are referring to lighing the mini from the top (unsure if it's poor lighting for teh picture or good "paint lighting" on your mini). Try a picture against a grey or white background so we can really tell if the shades are painted or from lack of lighting. The NMM looks yellow, not gold. Remember NMM is about smooth color trnasition (and from the looks of that one you'Re getting pretty good at it) and mainly applying the light and shades at the right spot. Take the left shoulderpad on th back view. Gold is hilighted just like the blue of the armor, thus il looks the same. To make it look reflective, the bottom (currently shaded) part of the shoulderpad gold trim should be brighter (yes, brighter) and the top part should be darker. Metals reflect in the opposite way as dull surfaces. I suggest studying more top-notch NMM gold paintjobs on CMON to see where light and dark areas on gold are applied. After studying 50-60 pictures you'll get a natural instinct as to where it should go. Now I may seem rough on my comments but this is for you to learn. I think a picture against a pale background and better lighting would improve the score of this mini a good deal.
