No Such Agency
Great marriage of the beaky head and newer armour. Beakies rule! You've probably based this guy by now, but I'll still say why not give him an "interior" base, like the deck of a starship or something? Scribe panel lines etc. in a piece of plastic card and ta-da! He has no slotta-tab to deal with so it'd be easy.

Broken Fang
Actually, since I took that picture, I ended up drilling out the barrel (one of my first attempts that actually succeeded!), and so it looks a lot better now. Still haven't done anything with the shoulder pads, and still haven't based it, however.
