Ok, my second attempt at Kelen, I think he looks a lot better than the first one (Perhaps someone remembers my first, since I deleted the pic). Well, I just like him, especially the NMM and the robes. The face and hair could be better and I'll put a darker wash over the wings, I think. Yeah, no base again. Neither sculpting nor cuting the rock from cork worked out, so he has to wait till I get it right. Which might be never. Again, commends and suggestions are always welcome.

This looks like really good, solid work! The NMM colors are good, the freehand is not overdone and the wings even look ethereal. But, the main problem is not in the painting, or even lack of base.. It's the white background. It tends to white out everything and give a weird look, even on the best of minis. I'd suggest either printing a gradient from photoshop or using a grey or dull bluish colored paper. Still good, though! :P
