Old Glory Boxer Rebellion Civilians
As it was, troops from overseas were being called home to deal with the calamatous invasion of this, what blared in the headlines, "supernatural menace". It was literally as if all the creatures from childhood stories about spirits, vampires and zombies, had come to life. The dead just would not remain buried and what's more they added to their own numbers with each new victim they claimed. Increasingly, even the daytime became unsafe as chaos emerged from the very heart of the Empire as what few elements of law enforcement were swept away. Shambling hordes of murderous cannibals filled the streets to wreak a new kind of terror on the people of London. Armed bands rose up to meet them and only succeeded in slowing the wave of crime and destruction before being swallowed up under the onslaught. "Where are our nations heroes," came the refrain. Bravely, armed resistance fighters tried to hold the line hoping, but not knowing, that help was on the way. Boxer Rebellion civvies are doing service in my Gothic Horror/Victorian London game I'm working on. Questions and comments are both welcomed and encouraged.
