Lady Liona

Bretonnian Damsel on foot. As others have said before - this is a very painter-friendly model, and if you don't know what I mean, buy one and find out ;) This is my best work yet and my entry into the Baltimore Golden Daemon this year. Didn't even make the first cut :( That's ok, I'm still proud of her =D

From the looks of it your camera is fine and would work great for making better pics, but your lighting completely sucks and is totally destracting from the mini. And, for the record, the lighting IS creating shadows, comparing first and second pics there are shadows in the second that are not in the first... it makes it very difficult to tell what is paintwork and what is not.... believe it or not a good lightining setup that will let you take decent pics will cost you less than $20. Go to a hardware store and get two cheap clamp-on shop lamps rated for 100watts... get 100watt GE reveal bulbs that cut down on the yellow... go to a grocery store and get a thing of parchment paper in the bakers section, take two box lids and cut the middles out so that you can place the parchment paper in there. Use those as diffusers and put the lamps really close (don't touch them, you'll burn them if you do). Oh, set each one offset 45 degrees from the mini about 1 foot away. Your picture quality will be much better. I think with that setup this mini could easily be an 8 and your tanks could be nines.... I'll post some pics of a cheap lighting setup that works for me on my website sometime soon so you can see what I am talking about. You'll probably need to spend some time getting the camera setup correct for the lighting, but I really think your only problem is the lighting, then other painters could give you some good advice.

Aye, ok. If it's just the pink dress then it's bad pic quality :/ Like I said, there are no shadows from the lighting; what you see is what was painted.

yes no proble... the tau tank thingy de4serves it s score I beleive you d be a 6.5 and all. I m not saying I can do anything better than you don t get me wrong... but the only thing bad with this mini that I noticed was the pink dress.. there is close to no highlights... you know how when your a beginner you just stuff plain colours... well that s how I felt when I was looking at the pink of her dress... all thje rest is great but it kind of ruins the mini for me... the thing I especially like is the writing on the base... sweet... and if your argument is that you didn t want it to look cartoony well if your anoyed because we all like it that way you don t have to post it it doesn t matter...
