Orc - (Rackham Inspired)

This sculpt was compleated in August 2004. At the time I was having challenges with GS, so I tried a mix of fimo & supersculpy. It worked pretty wel, for sculptability, of course the sculpt is brittle. I did make a mold and do some casting of this mini, which turned out reasonably well. (that also explains all the little bits on the sculpt, which make it look dirty) The sculpt was in much better shape prior to making the mold of course. Anyhow, let me know what you think, the good the bad and the ugly. Oh this was around my 5th sculpt, I lost track now, but somewhere around there.

7.5 for this one, really nice overall look, and not bad for a 5th try, the sculpt is very smooth and thats always nice to see. again main problem is the axe, the blade just doestnt look right, and it also look broken try using stronger stuff for example standard Milliput its the best IMO. you can also try the allan c method for sculting blades: mix the milliput and make a 1-1.5 mm thck sheet with it the wait till its dry cut the sahpe you want and give it the sharp edge with a file or a dremel, this work really well. my other big concern is the face, its too big (common error, made it myself lots of times) but apart from that i think its pretty good y also see some cracks here and there, usual if you use FIMO, no make it stronger just put some GS over the wires, to create the basic shape then sculpt over it with FiMO, better result and a stronger sculpt. the rest of the sculpt is very solid, but the picture is letting it down also the color chosen its not the best try a grey or a ochre, i like Sahara best, as i sad before a strong 7.5, make a new axe and a better pcture and it would be near the 8 for sure
