OK, I think I have this right: Tolkien tells us that trolls are constituted of stone, so how about a troll made from an interesting stone? The troll (as opposed to his club and his clothes) is painted in only black, greys, and white to simulate his being made out of volcanic glass. Anyway, that was the idea. I guess that means he'd be somewhat fragile, but if you broke him, he'd have VERY sharp edges... Please comment and suggest at will!

Very cool idea! I like the contrast of textures between the smooth glass troll and his cloths and weapon.

The idea is a good one but leaves you with a very drab mini. The painting is good perhaps If you had done a lava base with some source lighting it may have brightened the model up. I like the leather it looks very real
