Anarel Silverwing

The first ever special character for Warhammer I finished. Took me about a week, one hour of work a day. Before I painted him I only painted a handful of spearmen and archers. I wanted to add start to his robe, but it turned into white and yellow spots. I'm going to get a smaller detail brush and try it again. Any constructive criticism, including tips on how to paint stars onto the robe and what to add to the base to emphasize his character as a master of the lore of heavens, would be greatly appreciated. I hope the picture quality is good enough.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, I agree on the gems. I know they are my problems, but, heh, High Elves minis have enough gems about them for me to practice more. And I'm considering now to make a larger piece of terrain base for him. Wonder why I did not think of that sooner. And I'll try that solution for the stars and let you know if it worked.

Probably could've done with less angles and slightly larger images. The green looks nice and rich, but the gems don't seem to have quite enough depth to them. I'm not sure what to do with the stars, but I might suggest using light blue highlighted up to white, given the color scheme. For the base, I'm not sure if there's anything you can add unless you want to mount him on something larger or taller, like some terrain feature made of cork.
