MSB Red Crane Skull General

This miniature is from the game company MSB Toys. I tossed around the option of painting this guy's coat red or black. I figured black was probably a bit cliche. Sort of a Colonel Klink thing there, so I opted for red. I really enjoyed painting this mini. There were some fun little details like his eyeballs. For a skull, his face has a lot of character.

Great work on this one - I really like the colours you've chosen and the technique which you've used. It's a very striking paintjob with great depth. My only criticism would be for the sword - it's current colour blends in a little too much with the red of the cloak, a green or blue would have made for a better contrast. Other than that - fantastic - 8.7 I almost forgot - the base is excellent too... ;)

So much character! The red was indeed a good choice, and the paint job is great, especially on the coat. I wonder what he's doing with his right hand.... The only thing holding it back is the sculpt on the flaming sword. It looks like balloon animal. The same painting technique on a better sword would add a lot to the overall look.
