Thanks, I think you're quite right on the robe, but at the moment I painted it I didn't know anything about blending ...( i'm still very bad at it but that's another story hehe ) I was painting everything with drybrushing and now I don't feel like re-doing it, I like the way it looks like that =)
I think this mini is wonderful! I love the purple and blue hues used on him. And how the yellow eventually worked its way up to purple on the staff. The dry brushing on his skin and wings look well done. I like the variation of colors used on the wings rather than some wings I've seen which jump harshly from one color to the next. The only thing that would of made this better is if drybrushing wasn't used on the cloth. The look of drybrushing could be used on his wings and skin to keep it consistant. But the look of a flowing robe could look alot better if it were blended or layered. But this mini is still wonderful.
