Why so low? Well, thinning ink is as important as thinning paint. When you wash metals with blue, it's to give them a slight bluish tint. This looks exactly like blue ink on top of metallic paint. Also, don't rely on washes to provide shading. Work the metallics up from darker metallics, such as boltgun metal to chainmail and then highlight with silver. You have also painted the sides of his helmet as flesh, and it looks very, very odd.
