Viking Girl

Another new sculpt from Reaper. I put her on a custom display base, which you can see pictures of at the auction. It's rather large (2" square) so I didn't want to zoom out and lose the closeup detail by trying to capture the whole base for this shot. Anyways, the snow was made with Sno Tex by Deco Art mixed with Texture Builder by Delta over a plaster base layer.

Beautiful job, as always, DarkStar. I've been following your work and I'm especially impressed with your treatment of hair. Along the thread of the skin though, I tend to agree with lev, I assume a scandanavian exposed to the sun would end up reddish/freckled with less tanning. But, it's an artists interpretation so that's neither here nor there. Keep up the amazing work!

You show me a pale barbarian, and I'll show you a skier without a sunburn. One can get just as tan in the snow as they could at the beach. Snow has the tendency to reflect the suns rays back up at skin, thereby magnifying the damaging effect, causing a burn and over time, a tan appearance. Thanks anyhow for your comment, much obliged for the compliment. :)
