Appaloosa Foal

Q: how do you convince your spouse that all that time you spend painting miniatures is good for something? A: paint something for her (him). My wife collects Breyer model horses and occasionally one comes that is just horribly painted so she asked me to paint this one for her. The pattern is taken from a real horse. It's about 3cm tall.

A vast improvement from what these things look like when you take them out of the package! :)

Sure, try to appeal to the female voters with a picture of a oh so sweet adorable little baby horse... Well it worked! ;)

Well I think its cool. It seems like it would be a tad hard to shade and highlight, as the "sculpt" has no sharp edges and is smooth... Was it therefore harder to paint? I know I find it easier to highlight o a "sharp" edge.. but I have a few horses to do and I'll have to learn highlighting on smoother surfaces....
