HFH024 Dynamic Tiriel

Tiriel is an experiment of sorts in as much as I attempted to thin somewhat my metallic paints. She was base coated in white while the base was base coated in black and I wanted to see if the thinned metal had any different appearance based on the base coat color. The effect is subtle and noticeable, and perhaps a few more thin coats of the metallic might have helped in some places. A slightly overcast late afternoon sky made for the perfect indirect lighting, and any problems you see on the picture is clearly the result of the painter, not the picture. I’ll admit that she slipped a little while the glue was drying, so she seems to be “falling” on her right knee while blocking some unknown attack, but while that may make it different from most Dynamic Tiriels it does seem to work within the context.

I think this is a blind alley old chap. Not a nice look at all. I like the idea, but the outcome (pose besides) just isn't nice.

I would love to see her face so I could really vote on the details. The light is too bright on her metalics - try pics in the shade/indirect lighting - or put her in a diffuser tent.

The ironic thing is that I didn't. It was only after I put her on the Epicast "Hero base - Stone Plinth" did I realize that it was probably modeled after a paint pot top. No that's not plastic, that's solid resin there.
