Chaos Champion
This mini placed third in the fantasy single category of the Wyrd games online competition. The conversion consists of the legs from a chaos warrior, with the torso/arms of a beastman. The blade on the weapon is made from plasticcard and greenstuff, and a lot of parts on the model are built up, or resculpted, in GS as well. Most notably the head, which comes from another miniature I was working on. Its one of my first attempts at sculpting a head. It wasnt good enough for the intended miniature, but serves its purpose well enough here.. the head is probably the weakest part on this mini, I wanted to try out a different skintone than the one on the main character. It just doesnt quite work, stands out too much IMO. Ah well.. Overall Im pretty pleased with this mini. It is also my third attempt at this chaos warrior/ beastman combination (my second attempt can be seen at ID: 68159) The metallics are painted up from GW boltgun metal, with lots of inks and paints working back and forth to get the shadings/weathering. The final highlights are made with Humbrol Enamel silver, which is why it has the nice shinyness you can see in the picture. Pictures could be much better, but its what I could manage .. :-/
