Reaper Duke Gerard, Crusader SE metalics

I tried a new technique with this piece. Instead of painting the sky-earth effect using non-metalic paint I used metalics. I like the way the model turned out and plan to use and refine the technique on future models. please comment.

Sorry No Such Agency, but you're just wrong. All the feathers are at the same angle, which means that they should piece together to give a single reflection (just as Matt has painted it). Think of it this way: if you take a mirror and tilt it, the reflection moves significantly, but if you move it forward or back half an inch without changing the angle, the reflection barely moves. All the feathers are at the same angle, so they reflect the same way, even though some are slightly recessed compared to others. Personally, I'd love to see this in person, since I suspect it's suffering greatly from the photography.

You are sooooo close to doing SENMM properly... basically each metal surface should have the horizon effect on it. Yep, that means each of those "feathers" on the wings :D His face is really good.

Nice mini. I like the metalics and all the SENMM looks to be in place. I like the area's along his right arm and chest armor.
