The cheqes look quite blotchy and thick, watering down your paint to the consistancy of milk and then applying lots of thin layers all over the mini would be a great improvement. =) keep up the painting!

I notice that almost all the metal areas are the same color. A good next step for you would be to start experimenting with painting different colors and shading/highlighting. Orks are great to learn on because there not supposed to look perfect! Keep it up.
