Goblin with 2-handed axe

This piece dates back to 1979, but I just painted it. I know it's simple as far as details but I thought I'd paint it up for the Old Skool forum thread. As it is a recent paint job, I'd like comments so that I may improve. Well, what do you think? I went with a dirty, white, but what color would you have done goblin hair? (I love his mutton chops)

Awwww, memories...I remember this sculpt with mixed emotions, mostly lothing at the lack of any other readily available minatures...I like the skin color, maybe try highlighting a bit more on it, I don't know if I like the hair, looks like you forgot to paint it. dull down the metal with either inks or watered down paint. Keep it up!

Nice clean paintwork, considering this baby is small and an ugly cast. Not sure what I would have done with the hair, the white doesn't contrast well with the silver, but I can't see brown working either.

My comments: paint too thick (add water for acrylic or oil for others). Metal too silver (not realistic). Poor blending. Good details (eyes).
