Gharus the Barbarian

Gharus is a bit of a collector. He is adorned in all kinds of skulls and bones. His most prized possession, however, is the kilt that he personally took from the body of the Duke of Burberry... I'm still rather intimidated by the incredible detail of Rackham mini's, but I think I pulled this one off quite well. I'm happy with the way the freehand kilt worked out; it's quite close to the official burberry pattern. I'm also proud of the skin, which was a joy to paint with all of the well-defined muscles. The swords were difficult, but I'm not unhappy with them. Still difficult to get metallics to show up well on the photograph. Any comment or hints, any one?

I think you did a solid job on him. For many skin is tough to do but you pulled it off. I think the picture are a little grainy to get a good idea of the detail work on the skulls and leather. Maybe some lighter colours on the skulls to make em pop! -F-
