Cadian

Hi, my friend got me this miniature and a bunch of paints and two brushes, so this is my first attempt at painting miniatures - a Cadian soldier.(i've tried painting water colors pictures too). I think it turned out pretty well and I took about 2 hours to paint it; I tried layers of 'highlights' on the armor, the clothing, and also the skin and face. The hardest part was the face, because of the eyes, which i had to redo a lot to get the pupils with the white dot in the middle right, but the face is my favorite part. The other parts are done by 'drybrushing' (correct me if i'm wrong). I still need to finish the boots and the sand/rock, but I just wanted to get some feedback. I think its pretty cool though. =]

For a first go this is not bad, I'd suggest darkening the mouth and picking out the teeth that would make the face look more dynamic, also try and learn to highlight withought drybrushing it is not a bad technique but it does tend to make things a little rough looking. Also finish the base. Like I said for a first mini not bad, not bad at all.
