The ink on the Gob on the right makes the gob on the right much higher than the gobs without that addition. It brings out the eyes and the ears better. Detail is good as well (esp the belt buckle) and the base is nice. But don't let the lack of detail (and I think that there is enough detail on them for some good work) keep you from working with basic shading, highlighting techniques. The cloaks have folds for example that can be highlighted or shaded with simple ink/drubrush techhiques. From there you can go into more advanced blending methods. Look at the Gob on the right and think, "what if those highlight were not a result of the flash but of my paint job?", and go from there.

Heroquest figures are notoriously difficult to paint well as there is almost no detail to work with. Having said that, you've done a clean, tabletop job with them (although the inking on the third looks a little harsh). I think the bright coloured clothes would look a lot better with some shading but it's nice to see some HQ minis here. ;)
