I never watch films based on video games since they generally suck! There\'s no shortage of good films out there... plenty of good stuff to chose from without having to settle for these desperate attempts to squeeze more money out of a successful video game.
Generally true, but I thought resident evil was good, specially since even the zombies looked like supermodels.
I was going to mention Super mario Brothers; truly awful in EVERY sense of the word. Angelina Jolie made Tomb Raider watchable, however. Then again, SHE makes anything watchable, even when she sucks...
and I leave that one alone... visions of Pamela Anderson running through my mind right now...

And a very pointless sex scene. I may get flamed for this, but it just felt like it was tossed into the movie at the last minute and really had no point. Nice Tits though. <snip>
Well, you\'ve talked me into seeing it. lol
But seriously, how many crappy movies have one great sex scene in it? I had an idea awhile back of taking just the cool (sex) scenes out of all the \"normal\" movies (ie, non-porn) and putting them all in a movie by themselves. Like the Michael Douglas/Demi Moore blowjob from Disclosure, or the great mother/daughter/Satan scene from End of Days, the Meg Ryan strip/masturbation scene in Body Double, maybe even the Sharon Stone sex scenes from Basic Instinct, hmmmm... Michael Douglas again... maybe he should of been a Porn Star.
Anyway, these scenes pretty much made those movies, so if anyone else could think of any other mediocre movies that had great sex let me know, I\'ll add them to my \'project\' if I ever get around to it.
Well this is certainly no shocker given the director! I\'m so glad I don\'t have anything invested in the character or I would be gutted.

That reminds me of the sad story behind the ooriginal \"Fantastic Four\" movie:
This the one from the early 90s?
I was going to suggest we should commiserate with you about Boll making Half-Life but he doesn\'t have the rights yet so maybe he won\'t get the chance to ruin it and we might actually see a decent adaptation. If it\'s about as good as Doom I wouldn\'t be too disappointed, although one could hope for better.
My wife told me about this movie a week or two ago, since she knows I played BloodRayne2, and actually liked it. What can I say? I like bloody games, and BR2 had ample blood.
She was like \"We should see that.\"
Well, after having read this thread, and after doing a little independent research, I\'ve come to the conclusion that I won\'t even spend someone ELSE\'S money to see this.
Speaking of video games to be turned into movies... there was this awesome game that I used to play, way back in the mid-late 80\'s that I think would make an awesome movie.
It was called \'Tron\'. Very interesting challenges to it. They really ought to make a movie out of it.
Okay, Tron was actually a pretty good film, but it was not a film version of a movie. The movie and the film were made at the same time and released at the same time as a sort of cross-promotion (and the video game still made a lot more money than the movie - heck, it even had a sequel \"discs of tron\").
For BloodRayne, here\'s what Howard Tayler over at schlockmercenary.com had to say. It\'s worth repeating:
\"Don\'t see it in the theater, and don\'t rent it. Buying the DVD would be a crime against humanity. For that matter, don\'t bother seeing it for FREE, either. Spending your TIME on this film is a crime against your employer, your family, and the Baby New Year. You would be better off using an hour and thirty-four minutes eating junk food and watching Weather Channel repeats you\'ve accidentally TIVO\'d.
I\'m serious. If I find out that you went and saw this film after I told you not to, I\'ll phone your friends up and tell them to go to your house and pour ants in your bed. And when you wake up screaming, covered in ants, you\'ll think \'at least I\'m not still watching BloodRayne.\' \"
He still is a unlucky fella, Uwe Boll. Still I think he deserves a bit of respect for his undying motivation for making this rubbish. How more \'cult\' can you be?
