Photography - Backgrounds

The first camera I used for miniature photography didn't have a white balance setting so I thought I'd experiment to see how different backgrounds affect the outcome of the photo
I used 2x 50W white halogen lamps (£10 each from Homebase (UK)) and a selection of coloured backgrounds. I have a 3.2MP Olympus and applied auto colour balance using GIMP www.gimp.org
From left to right the backgrounds are:
1st row:WhiteGreyGrey with a black and white colour reference2nd row:Blue marbled cardGrey marbled cardBlueI'm amazed at the difference this makes. I hope this is of some use to you folks!
