Hi Taggi, your original WIP photo had a lot more red in the armour & green in the cloak. Did you tone it all back or is it just variation in photography?

An excellent first submission, well done :good:

Cheers, B.

no, the colors are now shown right. The first fotos are made by the camera of my cellular phone. And after i have made them brighter, because, there were all to dark, the colors where a little bit diffrent...

i like hime, the nmm is smooth and the armour is well done. i don't like the base though. it looks like a few random elements just attached to the base (ie the sticks and the lichen)

Glad to see him finished Taggi, congrats :good:
Love your painting skills - scored 9 because of base (doesn't work for me well).

Well I'm impressed.
After seeing both the Minotars work in progress and the Eldar War Walker I harboured a suspicion that we were looking at someone who was being very modest about their capability. My suspicions have been confirmed.
In regard to the models colours I think that is a very harmonious scheme, using a richer colour than I would have first though of for a Nurgle-esque rendition. However it works well and is instantly recognisable as a Nurgle devotee.
The spattering/dirt distressing on the cloak is a little heavy for my personal taste, but I'm not knocking points off for it.

Like others I think that the base looks a little like an afterthought. I do understand the concern about doing the base and ruining the figure because of it, but to me the wood and lichern being unpainted are 'wrong' in terms of matching the figures painting quality.

Nice work Taggi, not much more I can add, your brush work is nice and smooth, and your palette of colors is a good choice. I like the effect with eyes as well, I'd have probably gone for a green or yellow maybe, but the white works too

It's the base that lets it down, just some static grass would have been better than the twigs IMHO.
But, as you say, this is your weak spot and it just takes a bit more experimenting and playing around, although I don't think you really want to be using "Phlegm" on your bases. (it's the yucky thick stuff you get when you have a cold  )
There are lots of good articles about bases, from beginner to expert, in the Articles section

Looking forward to seeing more of your completed minis

Hello guys.

Well I have made this base six times, before I could say, ok, better this than a plain black. The little bush is dyied with the same color, like the cape...

Wel... Phlegm... in the dictonary it is the word for a very viscosity fluid. I though about, that it could droping down the axes, but I was not brave enough for it. I know the base is crap. But I did not want, that somebody will make it for me. That would be like cheating. So I try hard to do it myself even if it takes time. What would be the right word instead of phlegm?

Thank you for your complements and the good hints!

Greetings, Taggi

With it being a Nurgle piece I'd say that Phlegm is -very- accurate. But with what to depict it? Water effects, PVA-glue or something similar with a slight tint of some yellow/green pigments in it would suffice I believe.

Take it as a compliment that someone is so jealous of your work that they have to try to vote in a negative manner.
Plus you are now in very good company having been "Sniped".

Very nice! Love the smooth blending! As a thought... the base. Bases are something I am notvery good at. Can I reccomend buying a few custom bases from one of many suppliers (I love Dragon Forge Design). The model is SOOO well painted that I think the lack of a quality base is hampering this from hitting a 9. For me at least. You can paint, that's for sure, so if you got one of these bases and flexed your talent on it I think you'd really be on to something.

@ Sniped:
Thats a stupig thing I think. How you can measure yourself with others, when you manipulate the score? That is ridiculus! That is really stupid... sorry... but this is a offence to the sniper!

@ Base:
I was offered a "pedestal" for this one with advise, how I could decorate it. I think, after I have changed it, i will repost.

BUT: A actual voting of 8.7 is fantasic! *is a little proud of herself*

Greetings, Taggi
