Words that need to be removed from the collective memory

So one of the things I've been doing since I got home is trying to readjust to life in the World.

Part of that involves TV, much as I hate to admit it. However the word I have heard excessively is Frenemy -which I feel should be removed from the collective memory of humanity.

Anyone got any words they think need removal?

Oh man, where to start... prolly, aks, brah, fudgepacker, chink, emo, milf, pimpin', grill (as in "up in my grill") towelhead, camelfucker, haji, blingin', ginger (pronounced ging-er), teh, innernets, pwned, motherfucker, kidult, nigger/nigga, sesh, coon, cracker.... And to stretch the point a bit, the wrong use of factoid, sick (when it means cool, good, awesome), junk (for genitals), shorty (to mean an attractive woman) and probably a couple of hundred others.

But I'm realistic, none of these is going away except through naturally going out of use, like daddyo, roscoe, torpedoes, bluenose. And taste varies, I can understand liking any or all of these as much as bogarting, cheddar or cake for money or riches, glom, baked for high, nads, cakewalk, cherry (or pristine) slaphead, llama, a can of whoopass, shorteyes, clusterfuck, etc. etc.

As far as frenemy goes, I think it has some benefit in expressing a concept concisely, which is an admirable goal linguistically. Similarly, although I don't like it, sexting works.

I think there is an overuse of acronyms generally, I especially dislike when they are very obscure like acronyms for wargear or skills in Warhammer. Spelling out the acronym first like Fleet of Foot (FoF) and then using the acronym is perfectly acceptable or using SM in a thread dedicated to Space Marines. Clarity is the key here, especially considering beginners.

I've personally been hoping for a removal of labels applied to people. It's all too general and dehumanizing. Labeling someone because they vaguely fit into a predefined stereotype just gives an excuse to apply the entire stereotype in lieu of listening to them, and in no way matches reality. People are different, stereotypes are limiting, and they we can never grow socially until we stop manufacturing prejudices just to save time and oxygen.

eh? still don't know what that means

"In my face", but yes, it doesn't make sense and there isn't an interesting story behind the etymology of it. It's part of the "I may not have said it correctly, but because you can probably understand the meaning of it, it's still correct" movement.

Any couple getting turned into a single entity. IE: Brangelina

Getting off of the spoken/written word for a moment, I absolutely loathe the fist-bumping replacement of shaking hands.
Shaking hands is a time-honoured way to extend your hand when meeting someone, the open hand showing no weapon
to represent peaceful intentions. If you come at me with a closed fist as a greeting, there's a fair possibility that you'll
be left hanging or be ignored outright.

Edit: "In my grill" does have an origin. Look at the front of most cars. Headlights for eyes. The radiator grill often looks like a mouth.
Getting into one's grill relates directly to the front of a car resembling a face.

What's wrong with fat chicks?

Personally I have two words that when used in conjunction make me physically want to vomit.

Political Correctness

Use of the word gay to mean something bad.
Damnit, why didn't I think of that?! That's a personal bugbear, especially after finding out that my niece and nephew had started to use it.

Grill = teeth. Up in my grill = getting in my face, confronting someone directly (used to mean literally, already diluted to mean euphemistically).

a little too much info there
LOL I mean the term works.

Don't shoot me but I kinda like that one.

"Mama Grizzly" in the use of politics. It's used far too often by people that know nothing about Bears.

"Actualized" - Can anyone give me a consistent explanation of what this word means? If you can would you please educate the rest of the english speaking language so there can be some kind of standard to which we adhere.

"4G" - Verizon, AT&T, or to whomever this applies. Your networks do not meet the criteria for 4G. They are not 4G. Stop calling them 4G. Stop using the term 4G because the techies know you're full of shit, and the non-techies keep repeating it with some kind of reverence.

"Muffin top" in any context that does not actually refer to baked goods.
