I like that they haven't gone for the same old "strike a pose", and being a bull that kind of snapshot of it in action makes sense.

But yeah, it does take our mind to "ride 'em cowboy, yeehaw!". In the absence of a pair of miniatures representing clowns comig to mind, mine has gone bull fighting. That old Warhammer Quest Wardancer mini has the jacket, a snip of its lower sword to be replaced with a cape and it could be quite "Ole!"

OMG! Wyrmy...if we could find the clowns...that would be too funny!

But some Warhammer Wardancers would be freakin hilarious!

The shield detail is very interesting.

@Kathryn, would you paint the rider in blue & silver or black & orange?

lol! Neither - haven't liked the 'Boys since they screwed over Jimmy. He's from this area so folks weren't too happy around here.

I'd probably go with my son's school - black and gold. ;)

I really like the mini. The bucking pose seems fairly appropriate - I mean, its a great big semi-daemonic flaming bull beastie with a short angry man on its back. Slightly ticked off seems a not unreasonable state of affairs, no?

or am I missing some kind of Texas thing?

Also, I really, really like the rider. I've always had a soft spot for the chaos dwarves, and felt they deserved more than the silly hats. This chap looks like a right bad-ass mofo, so all in, this mini gets the thumbs up from me. Shame I dont play fantasy, or I'd be sorely tempted. Must resist. Must...resist....

It looks pretty awesome, and I would love to paint it! Yes, it is muy expensive, and it does remind one of a rodeo moment with its bucking action pose, but just picture another large monster, or large mount behind that angry bull getting its face kicked in, or a war machine getting destroyed, or even a unit of troops getting kicked into next week!

I think it is fantastic. The rider is just so awesomely detailed and characterfull, and i really dig the pose of the bull, someone is getting rammed gooood.

Another great chaos dwarf from forgeworld......hate them lol, another money stealer.

On the list for next year. Would be fun to try and paint them like the artwork in the Tamurkhan book.
