A few months back I had an accident at work and was laid up with a broken ankle and fractured talus bone for quite a while. During that time a a very good friend was there for me to help me through and after my recovery I wanted to give him something back as a thankyou, well here is that thankyou now finished.
He had told me he was quite fond of this sculpt but didn't have the time or the patience to do it any justice.
So without him knowing I bought the finecast model of it and here it is now finished. A few blemishes in the sculpt the worse being the helmet where I had to resculpt the front lower half and also I had to resculpt the skull on the shield.
Still I enjoyed painting it and hope he likes the mini when I give it to him.

Yes, this has all the trademarks of a Tidoco2222 special! Great metallics, smooth blends and eye poppin' color.

Hope your feeling better.

What the heck is a talus bone?

your talus is the bone in your foot (just above the heel/calcaneus) that joins with the bones of the lower leg (tibia and fibula) to form the ankle joint. How the hell did you break that?

I hope your life give you the time to paint without breaking anything else. WOW, on the red, just Wow. The next time i have to paint red armor I will reference this paint job!

No idea mate, I had the accident at work, there was no blame one minute I was walking the track carrying out a survey and the next I was on the sleeper ends quite broken. It was quite embarrasing having to get the line shut to get me stretchered out though.

Decided to come have a look today to see what was up with the CMON community, and I have to say I'm very happy to see that you are still around and painting great minis! I really like the metallics on this one!
Hope you recovered promptly without any trouble. Best wishes.

Cheers,
