Open LOVE letter to Games Workshop

Hey guys and gals...

Have you ever been in love with someone who does everything they can to push you away? It is frustrating.

You love the hobby, try everything you can to promote it... and then Games Workshop FINALLY finds a way how to disable people from posting EVEN their promotional videos... I don't get it... Paranoia OR complete failure to understand the principles of Intellectual Property. What are they so afraid of?

I wrote an open love letter to GW on my blog - and I would like to share it with you. Maybe one or two of you will leave a comment and MAKE GW be back together with us. Its a desperate attempt, I know...

Here is the love letter. Please comment :)

Oh, and if this is not enough for you, there are currently giveaways on limited and rare GW stuff on my site, worth 2000+ Ebay Dollars. Limited Edition Chaos Space Marine Codex (2), Limited Edition Dark Vengeance Starter Box (2), Angron (1)... this week there will be 2x SPACE HULK (limited) and so on...

We are planning a "Painting Revolution" - some of you have already heard of it... And it is ABSOLUTELY crazy. Verify for yourself ;)

Do you think GW would listen if we got, let's say, 1000 comments? I would send them the letter as a 'petition' if you like... As I said.. Desperate attempt is desperate :D

Stay hoopy & Happy Painting!
Share & Enjoy!

It's sad to say, but GW are that kinda cool person you dated when you were younger, but over time you came to realise was really a self-destructive negative influence on you. So, you had a long and painful break up. Names were called, accusations made, and it all got a bit messy. But now, looking back, you can see it was all for the best. Life is...better, without GW around. You can look up from that introverted, inward spiral of need and mutual dependency, and gaze ahead at the open, green fields of Other Games Companies. A brief dalliance with Reaper, a one night stand with Malifaux, or a long and spiritual journey with Privateer Press.

All this can be yours, Zaphod, my man. All you have to do is let go :)

There is ONE fundamental mistake in your loveletter. And that is the "I will continue to buy your stuff anyway"-phrase. You are in a abusive relationship, saying this is like Rhianna crawling back to this f*cktard who violated her. Vote with your wallet good Sir, thats the ONLY way GW will EVER learn!
You are German right? Why not give your money (and love) to the chaps from Freebooter instead, they would never cheat on you ;-)

To be honest Why bother?
GW will only ever listen when it hits their profits, and as long as they can convince gullible teenagers that THEY are the only game it town that's not going to happen.
Model painters and collectors don't account for enough financial impact to have any sway over the SUITS.

So to be brutal I think its time to " Man up" and admit that the 'Blooms well and truely faded from that Rose'.
Like any weak relationship there comes a time to pack the bags and move on. Yes you will have regrets and memories, but there are other loves to find and cherish.
Oh and some will definitley not be so demanding.($)

My break up with GW went very well! Now I have a harem of game companies that are way more attractive!

As long as there are no other CORPORATE companies, GW has monopoly power and we have to eat sh#t!
Only money decides on world of capitalism and there are numerous other companies which have earned my everlasting
hatred.. Still GW has a unique way to be distinctive from even that lot!
Malifaux, Wyrd, Privateer press.. come on: the big black hole of GW will devour them for breakfast and theres no room for
other big fishes in this ocean.
Sorry.. didnt have anything constructive reply:)
