ozy, not sure it would be worth the trouble painting all the metal in senmm, as its just joints n connections that are metal. The blue chrome is thought more like blue paint though, like a blue car, and not "metal".. thats why i thought it would be "legal" to use true metals. but i believe you are right about not using it, and after all, i was supposed to go outside comfort zone
On the eyes, why not go for a more smokey glass effect? I know that won't draw attention to the head as much as a brighter colour, but it always seems ridiculous to me to have bright green or red for a visor.
Skel I can´t belive it a Space marine figure, so then will you start on an eldar? You know they are really nice figures to paint you would have a blast doing it

but take a look! although the freehand pattern is almost impossible to see in those images. i never got more than half way, covered in dust and will continue collecting... whats bother me right now is how to paint the medallion-thingy, dont really want anything red in the scene but i guess there aint much options there. i knew i should have cut it off before painting!
