10 balls WIP

wow looks aweosme, I have started this guy too got him when it looked like we would be painting him as a group.

Canny lives!!!

I think the strongest part of this mini is the contrast in temperature. It really creates almost a glowing vibrancy in places. I have been working on this myself, even within the same colors by changing temperatures of the shades and highlights, and it really is quite challenging to pull off. But you done it mate...

If you wanna experiment, take some PVA glue, add a bit of water and your blood of choice, place a bit on the ground and use a toothpick to draw it up to a place of origin on the axe. Just an idea if you're feelin' froggy...

Looking real good! Where's the blood on the base coming from? Him? Blood should be dripping from the lower part of the wound as well then.

mmm good point. Oh well its nurgle, you can get away with things like that when its nurgle :)

Thanks all :)

Added a head.

Works better with UHU glue, it's crystal clear and very stringy when you use a tooth pick.

Yep UHU and the Tamyia clear range make great blood gore and puss. Failing that you can experiment with white glue and plastic glue mixed together with a paint color of your choice :)

I saw an excellent example utilizing PVA, but if you say that UHU is superior, where can I get some in the US of A? I'm asking because I am planning on using quite a bit on my current project. My mini has a scissor hand, and I'd like to string it between the blades, and have some dripping to the ground. Hoping it's possible to drip some towards the ground without it actually touching the ground. Anyway, appreciate any tricks and sorry if I am redirecting your thread Ten.

Looking good, 10. I like the extra head!

BFK, I don't think they sell UHU glue in the US. I found mine online (Amazon I think, though you can also check ebay). Make sure you get the one with the black cap/top.

Yep amazon or ebay. You know it's the good stuff when the warnings come in Arabic too. Canada and the US have their pesky environmental laws that forbid the sale of toxic glues. Damn hippies are ruining my hobby!

A person could become quite paranoid if he didn't know you really were all out to knobble him!

Lovely mini Lee I'd agree he's one of your best yet - the colour is superb!

I'm actually a man!
Hang on, you are just finishing stuff for GD....ye Gods! I haven't even started, sketched a few ideas in my mind but that's it.

Need to get the fire lit under my creative stove!

As usual, all setting the bar as high as it can be for me to look upon and cry :)

Looking forward to the 2015 meetup, hopefully a good turn out again, and maybe a bit more notice of venue!
