hahaha! i actually have another diorama in mind, which includes pouring resin over actual miniatures :)
Me too! Some of those Deepwars minis and some of the powered play lights could make for a very cool under water piece with some poured resin...

I love the way the frog looks, you picked a great species for inspiration. The base looks very nice but I'm curious about the cloudyness on the sides. Does just wipe off or do you have to scrape it off or what?

As you see by many of the suggestion that were offered, you make the cloudiness go away by sanding it out. Start with a coarse grade and slowly and gradually move onto finer grades, all the way as fine as 2000 grit. I've heard it takes hours by hand...

That's why the dremel tool was invented with sanding and polishing attachments!

Beautiful work as always. I love the colors on the frog. The red and blue give it a really dramatic look. The poison dart frog color scheme was such a fantastic idea. And the base is just so cool. I know it's a lot of work to clean up those sides, but the end result will be amazing.

Hi,

An inspiration for anyone to paint miniatures.

Too bad didn't start to paint the frog before I painted mine.

Many thanks,
Mariano.

weee cool! we tried out scum for the first time yesterday, can say that new boba fett is a beast! also, 3 players in a deathmatch create a lot more confusion and chaos... :D

I am very anxious to see him mounted on that beautiful piece of artwork. I am also equally anxious to see what you choose for your next project. I'm still rather stumped on the base for Cannibal, whom is 90 percent complete. If you recall I PM'd you concerning this an eon ago. Not going to try anything too grand or ambitious. This goes for others who visit this WIP, I often draw inspiration simply by browsing your WIP. Going to do this now...

cheers BoK, been slightly sanding the water and unfortunately there are quite a load of air bubbles, especially on the bottom of the base. live and learn, i did some mistakes :) still useable tho i would say.

been struggeling with a troat infection for a few days which pused my painting lol, although these pictures make no justice whatsoever i guess it shows the direction of the ogryn. reeeeeeaaaaally enjoy painting this guy, every detail is a single project on its own sort of :) lots of playing around with weathering effects; pigments, oils, enamel washes, etc. in contrast to the dark dirty armor i wanted the ogryns skin to be really sick and pale, more clean painted.

had to change some things from the original sculpt, changed the arm so he will hold a khornated banner, the upper arm is basically resculpted. also some tubes and chains has been replaced because of impossible casting...

speaking of bases my original idea was snow ones but after reading about Vraks i guess there can be no snow, no water there so i have to rethink a bit. i gurss i will end up with something dirty ww1 inspired stuff, perhaps with yellow-brown pigment because of the sulphur on the planet. ah the fluff :)

Once again your TMM metallics reign supreme. And I totally appreciate the contrast between the smooth and the rough. You should continue to duplicate this in other, smaller areas...

I am in awe of your painting and building skills... where did you learn how to do all this amazing work? I'm trying to get better at this hobby, but every time I see something you make I'm like, "Ehh... what's the point..." lol... any tips would be appreciated :) Superb work as always!

Ah here's the grungy techno barbarian mad max meets Salvador Dali GW fest that is your signature painting mate! You should have a squad of these.
