i actually like that description i know i shoud paint a squad of berserkers, i even have 2-3 of these ogryns at home. but it would be massive work, thats why i decided to go for the dogs instead.

yes its homemade, a little bit of work but not that hard, you cant buy stuff looking this good (seriously, lol). i believe there are tutorials on this site about it.

long time since i felt so disapointed by a GW release, as i am a big fan of rat ogres in particular. the stormfiends give me the same vibes as episode 1-3 of star wars. better close my eyes and pretend they never happened. booooooo

True. Although the Sternguard Kit, new tacticals (both normal and blood angel), vanguard veterans and the space wolf dreadnought are quite amazing.

The new BA terminators, while pretty, are disapointing inthe way they are cut on the sprue. And the space wolf flyer is another in an ugly line og bawkzez.

The stormfiends, new thanquol/boneripper, new warlord and grey seer are disapointing.

The stormfiends are vomit inducingly ugly.

As soon as I saw the Verminlord I thought of you, Skel. Just thought you could give it justice with your dark and grungy style. I don't think it is a bad sculpt, personally, though agree that some of the other rats are just silly. That Thanquol abomination is a nightmare....still, paint the VerminLord...puh-LEEz??!!

have to agree the vermin lord isnt that bad. way too big though! lets see if there is any cool necrons in the new release id love to paint some cool wraith ish thing in cool tmm

some more images, the guy is mostly done now time to start the long hard road with the freehand banner. not going to do a all way khornish one though as i dont thing bright red monster would fit in the picture. im going for a more realistic skull with a few symbols in more natural colors i think.

Skel, please please please try to step by step the banner. I put together a compilation of your banners, and you even have one on your WIP that shows many of the steps involved, but a bit of a talking through each step would be incredibly helpful to I'm sure even advanced painters. Of course, we all know how much you hate taking pics so do what you must....looks great btw...love the TMM. What did you use for his purple blue arm?

I am kind of glad I havent seen them yet then. I know if your not to happy with them, then I probably won't be either. I agree with that vermin lord though , he is kind of big but neat looking none the less. You also reminded me I got a box of rat ogres a couple of years ago I need to open....

digga, cant believe they dont update the rat ogre box. GW should have done that long ago. stormfiends looks more like a poor substitute for chaos terminators.

btw, anyone have one or possible two forgeworld chaos dwarfs for sale? prefer hand weapons but i can live with fireglaivers too.
also seeking the command trio but will buy them directly from FW otherwise.
