the dragon was the smallest thing Ive ever painted lol, now I know I can paint well that small I will be doing a lot more and hopefully getting better with each one. John suggested I just use my canvas skills in my miniatures, so I will be doing a lot more freehand work on my minis :)

so I've added green feathers thing to the head, so the actual head is done. I wanted to make the head look drawn by the lizardmen.. I'm gonna do a cracked mosaic background to the head and I've got the reference from these skull

really nice bro, the only thing that bothers me is it feels like there's a tooth missing in the mouth and it leave a empty black space, top notch drawing bro :)

while everyone has been having a blast at CB I've been stuck doing commision work lol

I'd like to say congrats to everyone who placed at CB, some of the entries were amazing and the comp was tough

i know the photo is garbage but its dark and I'm tired. Will be taking better photos tomorrow after I've finished hte final little bits

try adjusting your light settings down on your phone(making it darker) mega exposure or just a darker background :)
Looking good though. Just a little tip do a pre shade of the back ground so you can get that little bit more out of your banner.

I use a nice cannon dslr for my main photos, but I'm charing the batts atm, it was just a quick snap with my phone :) I will prop use a darker background overall though :)

I will use my AB to do a very subtle post shade after I've done the artwork, I'm working on the banner atm, so will post an update later, its looking fantastic though :)

The banner looks good! Are you going to put the same image on the other side too or something else?

So I've order a selection of the the Scale 75 Colours, only a real basic range but the colour selections are deliberate and John will know where I got the colours from.

Flat Black SC-00
White SC SC-01
Sol Yellow SC-40
Deep Red SC-35
Antares Red SC-37
Navy Blue SC-54
Violet SC-56
Irati Green SC-43
Mars Orange SC-39

basically I can mix any colour on the planet from these colours.

I'm gonna get some metal paints next month :)

so I'm gonna go back to the foundation and work through my colour theory and try out these new paints, if I like the paints I'm gonna replace my whole range with them over time.

I've got a new nice projects planned after the DE commission (which I've started putting together 20 Wyches, god) and this local comp. I've got Calas Typon model from Forgeworld to paint up and my high elves to finish off.

After seeing a lot of the results from the compition and I feel that some of the colors I would struggle to mix up, well not colour itself but the saturation and brightness of the colour. I feel I'm week is having contrast between dull and bold tones, etc so its time to put my head in Betty Edwards and work through the exercises until they all click :)
