oistene, I noticed that :/ if it had placed I'd have been sure to correct them, but it didn't, so eh. I do wonder how it would have fared if it hadn't been accidentally placed in and voted on as a diorama. Because, well, it's a crappy diorama! I doubt it'd have placed in the large figure category, either, since there were so many gorgeous entries in there, but it would have been nice to find out. Ah well.
And thank you, everybody! I'm over the moon about having placed at all, much less more than once. The whole thing was a blast and I expect to see every single one of you next year. No excuses.

Plus it should help when your stuff accidentally goes into the diorama category!
I had a great time hanging this past weekend. Congrats on those 4 awards and hope to see you there next year!

Tonight we went from blank to something like a face:
Her eye's not done, just have the iris outlined.
This bust is awesome but her boobs are at really different levels, which strikes me as odd, since her shoulders are more or less level. I'm just gonna go with it, I figure even the best of bras is doomed if you've been functioning as the guardian of some ancient sacred spacecraft for the last 10,000 years and didn't think to bring a change of clothes.

Well, since Bailey went and started having ideas about how to paint his Jessica Thunderhawk, I'm now caught up imagining what I might do with mine (especially since we might have a paint-along!).
I'm drawing inspiration from a character from The Order 1886, Lakshmi:
I like the idea of trying out some similarly patterned textiles, maybe modding on earrings and a nose ring.

That bust is looking great. Nice blends and colors on the face. I agree with 10, definitely feels like borg queen meets alien pilot. What are your plans for her (slightly ill fitting) armor? Dark and creepy like the borg/HR Giger look or something else?
