Sigvald somehow looks less magnificent next to the snail and hare. That is another one for the weird sentences that only make sense here pile :p Great painting on both but that display base is just beautiful and sets it all off!

Beautiful base, love that Lion's teeth flower (<---- this is the literal translation of how we name that plant) that slime path on the lateral of the plinth is a nice addition, it just sums up to the overall level of awesomeness....

Did you sculpt that flower with sculpy paste maybe?

Cheers all. It's supplied as a kit that I painted with AB. Like the lasercut flowers that you can buy.
It's made out of some sort of positional foamex.

Awesome base really makes the whole thing alive! Great details on sig Cape is looking good,are you going to push it a little more with the contrast?

Cheers canny, yep still tweaking the cape. Not going to strong on the contrast as I was planning on doing a freehand symbol.

I think its funny how the pictures that appeared side by side came out. Its like the one guy is saying "HEY LOOK AT ME AND ALL MY GLORY!" and the rabbit and snail are saying "HEY LOOK AT MY ASS!" lol Brilliant work as always Ten.

These are both awesome. Love the base work for the snail and the hair.

the highlights in Sivald's face brought it to life. And the dots on the cape are awesome. Do you dot these with the tip of a normal brush or do you have one cut off and stipple several dots per stroke?

Krule - his face highlights are just started, so are his eyes. The dots are just dotted on with the point of the brush. Very time consuming but I like the effect of texture it gives. Nakatan is the master of this effect.

Snail with the hare are great. The base is amazing, life, full of detail. Slime is excellently created. Beautiful vignette.

Got to tell you all this because im so shocked.

My father-in-law has been in hospital with pnuemonia for a few days. Last night got a call from the hospital that we best get there as he had took a turn for the worse.
At the hospital was told he had died, after a very upsetting hour my brother-in-law viewed the body AND it wasnt him!!!!!!!

The hospital had got the wrong man / family details mixed up - what a fuck up of epic proportions :(

Oh.My.God.

I despise frivolous lawsuits but sue the pants off of them. Start seeing a shrink and claiming sleepless nights and all that...but maybe that's just the [future] lawyer in me speaking ;)

Been gone for awhile obviously. Haven't done a full review of your WIP but I have taken a look @ your last 2 projects (will dig deeper soon). It is cool seeing you paint Sigvald version 2.0. Make sure you give us a side by side with your old one, when complete. Also I like the shadow down by his right knee pad. Maybe duplicate that sort of contrast elsewhere?

Wow that's quiet a difference. To be fair Your original is still really accomplished but the better blends and all the extra effects and little details really do elevate the new one. I really love the use of the purple tint to the gold, it really adds to the alien, sinister appearance to him
