Thanks all :)
As you all suggested by alowan, maenas, terrafirma and Andy (Andy got in first over the phone :)) the helmet needed focus so i followed all your advice. Red didnt look right againts all the red copper so went with green.
Very happy with the result. I struggled with harry at first, a very complicated paint inc problems with the colours, a case of don't meet (paint) your heros !

So more WIP but with a happier 10 ball.

Looks great, though maybe some of the green should be showing from the top of his nose slit or whatever it is, the top of it seems very close to the eyes and it feels like maybe some of it should be diffusing through

Looking fantastic man! Your choice of green for the eyes was perfect as it is not too out there to ruin the mini but it is out there enough to draw attention straight to the face. I agree with Quantum man too, the nose slit looks a little weird without the glow, I think maybe a toned down glow might be in order to not distract too much from the eyes

There you nailed it, looks amazing now! And I am not sure if I really agree with the previous speakers. At least if you add glow to the nose slit, make it subtle. Now it looks as if he has glowing eyes, and that is good. More glow might make his whole head seem to be glowing.

Great focal point now! Eyes goes staight to the eyes.. ! Green is a great choice and it works great with the rest of the mini.

Great green colour the eyes are now spot on big improvement! No to the nose I like just eyes. IMHO more glints especially on the shield and some scratch marks battle damage etc on the edges.

Great execution on the green glow. It pulls the eye straight to the face and then allows it to wander to the other awesome areas. I'm with Andy - I think adding glow to the nose slit would detract from what you've achieved.

Thats the good thing about photoshopping minis, just a click and its all back to normal. In fact if it wasnt for people seeing them in real life i would photoshop all the minis :laugh:
(Just like Andy does :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::male-fighter1:)

If you're going to go with the nose glow then I'd tone it down slightly from the photoshopped version. Subtle is the way forward.

I like the photoshopped glow effect very much! I think it makes the eyes stand out even better and looks more realistic.

The glow makes a huge improvement to the minis focus. I agree with the light touch of glow you show with photoshop tobe a further improvement.

haha we should invent a way to 3d print the photoshop effects onto our minis, that way Andy can have the best of both worlds!
