imo composition is as important as the actual painting. I wasnt happy with the the base on Vorag so been working on one that flows better.

Very nice work there I particularly like the tone of the blue and the white dotting for foam. Not 100% on the wave on the lefthand picture on the left edge. Looks a bit like a cornflake stuck on the side

I really think it's an angle issue so I would keep an eye on it and if in real life you still see a cornflake then correct it in some way...

Keep the burning arrow but get rid of the smoke it just looks wrong.

Regarding the burning arrow i think you shoud keep it, it makes a totally boring miniature a little bit more interesting

btw, why it one arm of his coat short sleeved? brittis fashion?

I would assume (although I know very little of old armour) that the arm holding the bow would need protection from the string, while the other arm benefits more from being less armoured.

Flaming arrow: yes.
Smoke: doesn't look quite right, possibly a bit wide?

Keep the arrow, with the smoke thin it down to a trace amount ( few strands) and darken them down as tended to be black smoke with what they coated the arrow heads in
