  1. Doing good here, thanks for asking. Congrats on the nuptuals!! I totally understand being busy, I've only painted two figs since the last time we spoke. Posted one last night and getting ready to post another one now. I'm jealous that you get to go to GD. I'm hoping to go in the US next year.

I look forward to seeing your new pieces once you get settled. 8 )

Hi, how are you doing and how is the painting? I've done nothing since May (except, oh, move house and get married!).

I am going to GD here in the UK in two weeks, but have utterly failed to get an entry done in time. It would have been my first time but I couldn't get it together around the marital happenings and honeymoon. Oh well, another year's practise before I risk the waters then..! Just as well. : )

Hope to see something from you soon. I've set up my painting area again now after moving house so am looking forward to getting the brushes wet again.

About LadyArgent
Biography:
My name is Stephanie Sasaki A/K/A 'LadyArgent' on some of the miniature forums. I have been painting miniatures off and on for the past 15 years. In early 2010, I decided to make something of the unpainted miniatures just laying around in blister packs gathering dust so I decided to hone my skills.

I spend many hours each week painting and have discovered that my favorite projects are those I do for others. It makes me proud when someone receives something I've worked on and they are excited by the final product.

I live with my wonderful husband, Bruce, and our three (furry) children: Kodi, Jodi, and Odi. I am blessed to have a husband and family who support my many endeavors and who always encourage me to succeed. When not painting, I enjoy horror movies/novels, role playing with the GURPS system, and kicking some tail on Xbox.
Interests:
Miniature painting, role playing games, video games, reading, horror movies, crime shows
Occupation:
Corporate Trainer
Years painting:
15

A Successful First Competition

by LadyArgent on 06-02-2010 at 09:48 PM

Well, I just got home from ReaperCon a few hours ago and my brain feels like a sponge that's overflowing!  I learned so much in just two days.  Everyone was so friendly and helpful, I felt as though I'd been coming for years.
On to other news, I won two Bronze medals at the competition.  I'm very pleased with that considering this was my first competition and I only had a month to prepare.  I'm looking forward to silver or maybe even a gold next year.  Well,

ReaperCon: Hard at it

by LadyArgent on 04-29-2010 at 09:52 PM

I'm still plugging along on my entries for ReaperCon.  As of today I have one that will be totally ready.  I would have had another one finished but I dropped him as I was spraying the finish and his arm came loose so I had to fill the seam with milliput and need to repaint.  I have another one that's near completion.  Tried my first attempt at lining with him, what I learned is that it is better to line before you perfect the paining (my bad).  Needless to
