Bloodhowl

I started painting miniatures for D&D in the early 80's. Transitioned to scale models (mostly 1/35 Scale armor) through high school and college. I joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1998 and had a long break from the hobby until a fellow Marine introduced me to Warhammer 40K 3d edition in 2003. I started buying a ton of stuff (just about everything except Eldar, Chaos and Imperial Guard) with my focus mostly on Space Wolves and Orks. Deployments to Kosovo, Liberia, Iraq and Afghanistan put a damper on painting and my stuff sat untouched until I left the service in July 2011. Now my stuff sits mostly untouched as my job as a Project Manager in the Subsea Oil and Gas industry eats up most of my time.

I have set a goal to improve my painting skills, with the hopes of eventually progressing to competition level.

Why choose Space Wolves over other chapters?
‘They are desperate, and as savage as beasts.’
Magnus lost his smile.
‘I no longer think of them as animals, Ahmuz, though I once did. I now think of them as the purest of us all. Incorruptible. Single-minded. The perfection of my father’s vision.’
