Thoughts?
I was mainly trying to work on my layering and becoming smoother at it.
This was my first time painting a full banner and doing freehand lettering so those are other points of feedback.
Additionally I resculpted the left side of the banner after part of it had to come off...
Doing a short WIP and wanted to get some opinions...
This is gonna be a quick and dirty WIP as I find time to work on it. I don't expect the pictures to be great as I just got this camera and I need to find time to buy a nice neutral picture background.

So I decided after the release of the Beastmen army book and with my general ability to paint and sculpt rising as I work that I wanted to build something unique and powerful. I love all three of the bottom tier armies; Beastmen, Ogre Kingdoms, and Orcs and Goblins and this will be an army...

It uses a synthetic sable, I was wondering if there was something in between these and a true kolinsky sable (Which are hell of expensive) that I could step up to next.
Currently I paint for table top and have only ever painted a few models for someone else to enjoy. I want to spend time learning how to up my skill, this means wet blending, smooth blending and the skills associated with it as well as doing metallics well. Where do I start?
What mindset...
Heya folks... Been a while since I have been here and I finally found time to start really painting... The army is a 2000 point Doom-bull list that runs limited minotaurs. Gonna be seeing everything from chariots to bestigors in this army, some old some new and some sculpting some conversion...

and I look at it and I see NMM ... looks simple, so can anyone care to explain to me the method used in this particular piece? I like it and want to replicate it. I have been playing with it a bit on one of my spearman\'s spear...
I wanted to try doing more layers on my goblins, maybe a little more complex than the 4 layers I am currently using, its more an experiment in layering as well as watering down paints, a goblin color scheme for layers would be awesome so I can sorta get an idea... or a tutorial for complex...
