@rowwwsdower , I painted the blade in Tmm to try out a weathering technique using liquid mask, which worked quite well on the sword. Not so much on smaller areas. So I converted to NMM...

Like you say the eye is a little too blue, try stippling some light greys over the blue (keeping some of the blue layer) to get that dead eye glaze.

Used w&n series 7 for ten years then started to get disappointed with their hit and miss quality. Then by chance found the world of dental brushes. Very hard to get, expensive but supreme quality....

To add, remember prep work is vital for a well painted mini. Make sure you remove all the flash and mold lines before you start :)

The deep shadows on the skin and mouth really make the mini ‘pop’ :good:

I always use just water with a tiny drop of dish soap added.

Regarding the white robes, as the armour is a cold blue I would suggest a warm white for contrast. Instead of trying to shade the base white down try to layer up from a very light tan...

I can't believe my eyes!! I do believe this is the first dragon I've seen you paint in years, which is incredible seeing you own ALL the blasted dragons in the galaxy. :rotfl:
