You might not want to mix black into red…it doesn’t really work out too well.
Try blue to give you a purple-ish shadow, that might be better if you’ve purple elsewhere on the model.
If you’d hosted them on Photobucket they’re probably gone.

Candles mights be a yellowish cast all around fading out, but for the centre of the light from the sconce hitting the stone it’d be the stone colour much lightened towards white...
Just as a suggestion if you have an airbrush hit the two areas with a mid to light grey starting close, then pulling away so that you get a key point and then a fade.

Problem is Dameon, is trying not to sound like a whinging git explaining what’s going/gone wrong AND maintain a bit of privacy at the same time.
A bit of a juggling act, I think.
If you were a subscriber to hasslefree’s email’s you’d be aware that Dameon has had a lot of external problems including a loss of key staff and a destructive flood to deal with.
