not what you think. itrying out vallejo with little matte medium in with about 2;1 water. im doing it overa farliy larged curved surface, a warp spider jump pack. ive apllies something like 5 thin layers, but its still a bit lumpy and uneven. any tips?

hi all, im about to foray into sculpting and i want to as prepared as i can. i have gs and milliput, but i was wondering, what are the best putties one can buy in the uk/ i know that this is largely a matter of personal opinion, but nay advice would be greatly appreciated:beer:

ok, so today i had my first go with milliput, i have silver grey. i mix two slivers up from the 2 sticks, and it was just crumbly and wouldnt hold its shape, and came off in my hands with water. what am i doing wrong? admittedly, the pieces were from the very ends of the sticks, is this...
