Hello all of you marvellous folks!
I must apologise for not having been on the forums for quite a while. Life is helluva busy at the moment, so I'm not getting a lot of painting or internet time in at present.
I just wanted to let all of you know that:
- I am still alive
- I miss you guys
- I haven't suddenly stopped being interested in what you're working on, and
- I'll be back in a couple of months
My directorial debut went really well and I had a great time with it. Rehearsals are already underway for our end-of-year pantomime, Hansel and Gretel. I've somehow managed to land the role of the evil candy witch! The role is quite a lot bigger than any I've had in a long while and involves some singing and dancing as well. So it's taking up quite a lot of my spare time at the moment.
In further great news, the paperwork for our new house is finally completed! This means that my gorgeous man and I will be moving in the next three weeks or so - PACK PACK PACK ORGANISE ORGANISE ORGANISE!! So that is also keeping me really busy running around and getting all of the details in place.
In addition to all of this I am also still busy studying and am trying my best - with all of these other commitments - to be organised in getting my assignments done on time etc. I'm really enjoying my subjects this semester and, apart from a couple of areas I'm behind on, the plan seems to be working pretty well.
So busy, busy, busy ArchArad. But good busy. So, unfortunately modelling and painting has had to take a step back for a bit so that I can stay sane.
I will be back.
Just know that I haven't abandoned CMON or all of the friends I have made on here. I'll catch you all on the flipside of this madness!

Oh look my IQ results came in:-
, and proud of it.
Helluva busy??? Sounds more like helluva awesome time. Congrats on the play and the house. Enjoy the experience from the journey. Besides we're not going anywhere.
Greetings, salutations and sundry hellos to all of you marvelous folks who I miss.
As you may have gathered, life has continued to blast ahead at a silly pace. I am, however, still alive and kicking.
Highlights package:
New House:
My man and I have moved into our new house and are settling in really well. We've got plans to do some work on the place once we've paid off more of the mortgage, but most of that is just tweaking.
One of the big bonuses to having our own place outside of a complex is that we get to have pets! Allow me to introduce you to Nyx (tortoiseshell kitten) and Gizmo (ginger tabby):
Studying:
I'm in my final year of my degree and things seem to be going pretty well so far. I'm in the middle of writing exams at the moment, so hopefully that trend continues!
Drama:
Because I clearly felt that I wasn't busy enough, I've just finished my directing debut for a full-length stage show! It was 'Allo 'Allo - I am a frothing fangirl of the original TV show so had to be involved! The script is written by the show's original creators and was so much fun!
Art:
I am still busy with various projects in between the busyness that is my life. The most recent project I've finished is this little guy (apologies for the rough camera work):
He's a little steampunk owl pin cushion I made as a thank you present for a friend who'd done a lot to help me with costumes for the play.
Well, that's pretty much me in a very rapid update post.
I miss you guys. But I shall not be permanently scarce!

So nice to hear from you, ArchArad! Awesome pincushion! Is it terracotta, Fimo, or a combination of materials? Also, congrats on all the life achievements!
Good job on the cats. Two is a good place to start, before you commit to full scale cat-lady. We have two tortoiseshell cats and they are super awesome!
