A cry for help

FInished my latest mini, a Tyrant of Viletis, by Rackham. I think he is painted to the best of my current ability(lame, i know), and would like any help on improving that I can get. Any flaws, areas to work on, anything, would REALLY help me out. Where I am, no one else even attempts to paint well, so, I kinda look here for help.

Well I\'ve just had a look at it and there\'s nothing really \'Wrong\' with it. It\'s a good 7 (7+).
In order to take it higher, all you need to do is work on the highlights a little on some areas. Perhaps the armour trim, but not the Red Armour fields. (They look nice and have a slightly brooding appearance. )
The face is Ok but again perhaps you need to extend the range of layers /blends between shadow and highlight.

The photograph is hampering the figure slightly, the lighting is uneven and the folds of the cloth are distracting. That sounds a little bit harsh but it\'s not meant that way. If you look in the Articles section Honza did a very good article on photgraphing mini\'s with one light source. It takes a few tries but once you get the \'hang\' it is easy to get consistant results.

Highlighting wolfen is quite difficult, because of the large areas, especially the armour plates, but I think you need to highlight the model one or two steps further because the current result looks a bit too flat in some areas. And the picture quality could also be better, especially the background.

Good blending on the top half. Looks like you let the legs go though. The armor plates on the legs in particular don\'t have the same level of shading as the arm.
Also, find some pictures of real claws (or look at your cat or dog if you have one) and lighten up and fade the claws so they don\'t look like solid bronze.
Straighten the bent weapon and on the blade thin your paints (got a blob on there) and shade it from light to dark just like you did the red, only using metalic paint.
