A new Tutorial by Vincent H.

Greetings fellow painters!

When a model of mine is deemed good enough to receive an award, it means I must have learned something worthy of someone else to learn about.

In that spirit I wrote my first tutorial about my first GD model, generously hosted by Bolterandchainsword.com: Magmatrax, Champion of Khorne and as seen here http://www.coolminiornot.com/64201

Later I wrote This one discussing a bit more the flashy NMM style I enjoyed.

Still a lucky SOB, it was time to write another tutorial about my last model (http://www.coolminiornot.com/157617).

With the Layout help of Dave Noyle at GW Canada, I finally got around to post my latest tutorial, seen here:

LINKY!

As this one departs from NMM into real metallics and a better use of lighting techniques, I thought I\'d share what I learned so far. Hope it finds use among the community!

Can\'t wait to get a chance to see this, I\'ve enjoyed your writeups in the past. The link is indeed broken currently.

*works if you type it out though :p

**Edit: Read it. Probably the best glazing tutorial out there that I\'ve seen. Had a hell of a time explaining this technique in words to people that asked, as with your tutorial on NMM gold, I can now simply point people in the direction of this one when they ask how it\'s done.

Crisp clear photos, I expect many people will use this as reference when painting up their figures, the effect is killer and with a little practice goes a long way to improving the look of even a gaming level piece. Well done!

Vincent always an inspiration and this is a great explanation of a difficult subject and something that will be useful to a hell of a lot of people..
thanks and keep up the great work.

Well I change my mind on projects faster than I could ever post... SO I don\'t even know what I\'ll do for next GD season, if anything.

This year was going to be dedicated to a new army, I like to alternate GD and army every year as I have so far. But with 5th ed 40k coming soon, the fall of the new Chaos codex and even Space marines being redone in October according to rumors, I\'ve lost interest in army projects.

My career demands more and more out of me so I barely have a few hours a week to paint. I\'m continuing down the path of real metallics for now as I really enjoy the effect.

Among the likely subjects;

that new upcoming Juggernaut has potential I doubt I\'ll be able to resist, specially since Juggernauts is kinda dear to me now... but no red promise :)

Black templars would be a personnal challenge because I have a hard time painting black (although I can basecoat like the best of ya lol), so perfect for a GD project. I challenge myself for GD\'s because it\'s the best way to learn, forced under a deadline.

Otherwise, I\'ll have to go with the flow!
