Ainu's Mini of the Week 2 Edition - Capt. Sicarius By verzaniproductions

Here in the brand spankin' new edition of Ainu's Mini of the Week, we have Captain Sicarius by multi-Golden Demon winner Matt Veranzi, known as veranziproductions on CMoN. But to get to the point, this mini caught my eye out of my random browsing due to the clean look and eye-catching gold NMM.

Another fine point would have to be the wintery base, and the icicle completes the look. I certainly need to try out Matt's recipe for snow, as it looks so great when mixed with elmer's glue. Who'd have thunk it?

The two-headed eagle freehand (seen on the back of his banner and on the shoulderpad, which is very difficult to achieve cleanly, may I add!) is so well-executed and really adds a new dimension to Sicarius.

I also find the face to be brilliantly painted, the definition, eyes, Space Marine technology behind his ear, and the lips come together to contribute to the overall appearance.

Overall, this miniature gets a 9.2/10.

Another quality mini from one of the best

Matt has done it again. This is indeed a standout among the Capt. Sicarius models already on display on CMoN. I will have to look at a different take when I paint mine, just to differentiate from all the others.

This really is a great model, the attention to detail is excellent, i didnt even know this model had implant detail behind the ear! This is also possibly the most realistic snow i have seen on this site, i really like the way its seems to be melting around the edges.
A great change from the standard city fight set up! 9.7/10

And here is where I must disagree with you!!! I guess it\'s all down to style, but he is way too clean for my personal taste. The face lacks life, and this big old heavy spacemarine appears to be standing on snow with no rock underneath it (his left foot).

Still a well painted figure and certainly deserving of it\'s score.

I like it. Have to agree with Orb on this one though. Still havn\'t got round to starting mine yet but all these submissions give me fresh ideas...In which case this may take a while lol.
One quick question, whats elmers Glue when it\'s at home???

think Elmers is a PVA type wood glue (?).

That or he nicked it from Elmer.....
